Cancer Bromance

In this episode, I catch up with my old friend Erik Ingbretson about cancer, relationships, and what it's like to be complex men in a culture that doesn't always embrace complexity.

You'll see why it's OK for guy friends to tell each other, "I love you."

Three facts about Erik...

1- Benchpressed the couch in our college apartment...With me and my future wife Sarah sitting on it.

2- Nearly drowned during a remote hunting and fishing trip in Canada or Wisconsin or wherever the hell sasquatches hunt.

3- Travelled to Maine from Chicago, completely unannounced, for a surprise visit with me after he learned I had cancer.

About the Podcast

Man Up to Cancer
The show built for men facing cancer, and the people who love us!
I'm your host, Trevor Maxwell. I'm a stage IV colon cancer survivor, and I've got a message for other men: You don't have to go through cancer alone.

On the Man Up to Cancer podcast, you can expect raw, unfiltered conversations about men, cancer, and our experiences. My guests will be other patients, survivors, advocates, health experts, and friends from #cancerland.

We'll tackle a wide range of topics including cancer screenings, chemo, friendship, scars, sex and intimacy, grief, and the physical suck-fest of cancer. But .. PLOT TWIST.. we're also going to joke, laugh, and have fun.
